Biltong Bucks Privacy Notice

This notice explains how The Biltong Kiosk handles personal information used for the Biltong Bucks loyalty program.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Biltong Bucks, information may include your name, email address, mobile number, account identifiers, membership/customer ID, membership barcode, marketing preferences, points balances, reward and voucher activity, participating-store transaction information linked to your membership, and technical information needed to operate and secure the web app.

If you enable Web Push notifications, the service also uses a browser-generated push endpoint and cryptographic subscription keys to route notifications to the authorised device/browser.

3. How information is collected

Information can be collected directly from you when you register or use your account, from participating store/POS systems when your membership is used, and from your browser/device when you enable supported app features.

4. Why we use it

Personal information is used to create and authenticate accounts, link membership across participating stores, calculate and reconcile points, issue and redeem rewards, provide enabled notifications and customer support, maintain security, investigate errors or misuse, and send marketing only where permitted.

5. Service providers and stores

Information may be handled by participating stores and technology providers that help host, authenticate, operate, support, secure or deliver notifications for Biltong Bucks and connected loyalty/POS systems.

6. Marketing choices

Marketing consent is optional and separate from accepting membership terms. Email/SMS marketing and promotional push notifications can be controlled in My Account.

7. Access, correction and concerns

You may ask The Biltong Kiosk to help correct inaccurate customer information or raise a privacy concern.

8. Security and retention

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect loyalty information. Information is retained as reasonably required to operate accounts, deliver enabled notifications, resolve transactions or disputes, meet record requirements, and protect the program from fraud or misuse.
